Know About Water Pollution Facts, Causes, Effects & Solutions.
harmful effects of water pollution

Long, long ago our planet was just a rock, a shell that had cooled over its molten hot interior, devoid of life. And then it rained. With water and then sunlight, came life. And with complex life forms came pollution in all its forms: pollution of the air, the land and the water. Water pollution is the contamination of fresh water by harmful pollutants and toxins.

Our planet was once a hot, barren rock.  Then it rained for thousands of years, percolating down through the crust and filling the caverns to form a lake.  This lake eventually became our oceans.  The first life forms grew along its shores and in the water.

Our planet has changed dramatically since those early days.  Single-cell life evolved into more complex organisms, in the seas and then on the land.  Animals evolved, some to walk on land, others to fly in the clouds and still others to dive into the oceans.  Life found a way to evolve and thrive on earth for millions of years because there was plenty of water.  Now we have found a way to pollute that water in myriad ways and this is having a detrimental effect on plant and animal life around the world.”

No living organism on Earth can survive without water. types of water sustains all life.  It directly or indirectly provides us with food, helps us stay clean and sanitary, cools us off when we’re overheated and keeps our bodies functioning properly.  It hydrates us when we’re thirsty.

Water pollution is degraded water, toxic to humans or the environment. It occurs when harmful chemicals or microorganisms or sometimes simply garbage or too much sediment contaminants a stream, river, lake, wetland, groundwater aquifer, ocean, in short, any body of water.

Water pollution is degraded water, toxic to humans or the environment. Harmful chemicals or microorganisms, garbage or too much sediment contaminates a body of water. Thermal differences caused by the discharge of hot water into a water source decreases oxygen levels, alters the species that can survive and invites non-native species invasion, altering the food chain and reducing species biodiversity.

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater). Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds.

Many products contain toxic chemicals that end up in our waterways. These poisons can cause everything from poisoned fish to knock out an entire ecosystem to cancer. We must reduce our consumption of all products that contain these toxic chemicals.

Manufactured products are convenient, but they also eventually end up in the landfill. Make a goal to reduce the amount of stuff you purchase and use. Buy clothes that last longer and can be repaired if damaged. Fix your electronics rather than buy new ones. Don’t buy single-serving containers. Reuse as much as possible. Teach your children to value quality over quantity by example.

A massage is more than a treat for the person receiving it. Massage therapy promotes overall health, reduces stress and promotes relaxation. It has many other benefits too, from improved circulation to helping you better cope with the harmful effects of water pollution.
